Wired Through Clothing

As wired natives, our self-concepts have been shaped by the technologies that have become tangible to us. We breathe the currents of technology and we feel a constant urge to carry technology as a vital component of our identity. Living in a 'Wired Nation' we are bombarded with statements, statements that claim that technology should become our own personal statements. As a result, we have now started to incorporate technology as a vital element of our sense of selves. Our open acceptance of technology has stimulated a wired culture in which we choose to carry, wear, and identify with technology. And once we unwire... we lose a sense of who we are.
