Running Away From Technology
Running away from technology... or should I say with technology. With the introduction of the Nike + iPod running shoes, athletes have the ability to put a sensor in their Nike's built-in pocket shoe designed to connect the receiver to an iPod or MP3. Once connected, the runner is completely and wirelessly wired up. The runner can program the iPod to record and customize workout regimens. The iPod can provide the time, distance, pace, and calories burned with the single tap of the screen. What happened to the simple, old sneakers, watches and our rhythmic breaths.... guess that wasn't good enough.
