After taking a Sociology course, I have been introduced to the book "Rewired: Understanding the iGeneration and the way we learn" by Dr. Larry Rosen, Ph.D. Dr. Larry D. Rosen author of Rewired, speaks of the cyber infested world in which the younger generations occupy. Not only does Rosen limit himself in communicating his concerns with wired sickness we possess, but he states the unfortunate disadvantages of beings wired robots. Because we are raised with technology, an emerging problem is how we are learning with and through such technological advances. Our learning capabilities extend to a dependency of being wired. Rosen argues, “The iGeneration is being raised in a world where technology affords more opportunities for effortless, instant communication. This is an important communication transition and has implications for both understanding this generation and implementing new learning strategies.”(Rosen 55) Rosen argues that adopting mobile learning instead of a continuing static classroom environments will help out in the long run.
