"F-Commerce": Facebook and Fashion

With 600 million faithful users, retailers have slyly managed to sprinkle their influence on the Facebook crowd. Retailers are starting to discover "F-Commerce", or Facebook Commerce as a potential supplement for retail sales. With big retailers like eBay and Amazon, we see the increasing connections with Facebook to market their products and to globally connect their merchandise to the US and to the 70% of users who are from outside of the US. Retailers have learned to integrate with Facebook by providing shopping via Facebook sites and by allowing users to "connect with Facebook" through their sites. The fashion forward Facebook users are now being exposed to different trends through paid advertisements on their profiles and through the main sites of each retailer. Not bad for business, but talk about annoying advertisers.
